Lost Lines: the Withered Arm

These pictures were mostly taken during the mid-1980s and early 1990s and show the remains of parts of the Southern Railway's network west of Exeter. Many of these sites have, of course, vanished in the 20 years since these pictures were taken. Halwill Junction, for example, is now a housing estate, as is Bude station. Sadly, the quality of some of the older pictures is poor but I hope the historical interest will compensate for this.
