The Saturday 0915 from Brighton normally ran via Factory Junction for route learning purposes. On the last day this was no longer necessary and, anyway, the route was closed for engineering work. The train is seen at a very wet Kensington Olympia having travelled via Clapham Junction

In future, travelling from Brighton to Birmingham will require two changes of train. The new timetable also sees changes to Southern services onto the West Coast Main Line. The current Brighton to Watford Junction trains (one of which is seen here at Kensington Olympia), will be replaced by an East Croydon to Milton Keynes service.
