Bath Road Viaduct, Shepton Mallet

In 1946 the centre arch of the up side of the viaduct (shown here), added when the line was doubled in 1890, collapsed and had to be rebuilt. The photograph shows the difference in the construction materials. However, it was only to have a further working life of 20 years.
